چکیده
ABSTRACT We present a multiwavelength characterization of the planetary nebula (PN) NGC 6905 and its [Wolf–Rayet]-type ([WR]) central star (CSPN) HD 193949. Our Nordic Optical Telescope Alhambra Faint Object Spectrograph Camera (ALFOSC) spectra images unveil in unprecedented detail high-ionization structure 6905. The high-quality 193949 allowed us to detect more than 20 WR features including characteristic O-bump, blue bump, red which suggests spectral type no later [WO2]-subtype. Moreover we Ne vii viii broad emission lines, rendering yet another CSPN with Teff ? 150 kK exhibiting such stellar lines. studied physical properties (Te ne) chemical abundances different regions within low-ionization clumps; are found be homogeneous. used PoWR atmosphere code model spectrum 193949, is afterwards photoionization performed cloudy that reproduces nebular dust for total mass 0.31–0.47 M? range C-rich ?2 × 10?3 M?. Planetary nebulae with emission - line central stars
The kinematic structure of a sample of planetary nebulae, consisting of 23 [WR] central stars, 21 weak emission line stars (wels) and 57 non-emission line central stars, is studied. The [WR] stars are shown to be surrounded by turbulent nebulae, a characteristic shared by some wels but almost completely absent from the non-emission line stars. The fraction of objects showing turbulence for non-...
متن کاملBinarity of Central Stars of Planetary Nebulae
I list the 16 planetary nebulae (PNe) known to contain closebinary nuclei, and show that the nebulae generally have axisymmetric structures, including elliptical, bipolar, or ring morphologies. The orbital periods range from 2.7 hr to 16 days, and close binaries constitute ≈10% of all central stars. Since the known binaries were found mainly from photometric variability, which depends on heatin...
متن کاملThe central stars of the planetary nebulae NGC 7027 and NGC 6543 ?
Infrared spectra of NGC 7027 and NGC 6543 ranging from 2.4 to 45 m were obtained with the Short Wavelength Spectrometer on board the Infrared Space Observatory. A first analysis of these spectra, with the aid of photo-ionization models, is presented. We report the first detection of the [Arvi] 4.53 m and [Nevi] 7.65 m lines in the spectrum of NGC 7027. When compared with older observations it i...
متن کاملCrystalline silicates in Planetary Nebulae with [ WC ] central stars ⋆
Wepresent ISO-SWS spectroscopy of the cool dusty envelopes surrounding two Planetary Nebulae with [WC] central stars, BD+30 3639 and He 2-113. The λ < 15 μm region is dominated by a rising continuumwith prominent emission from C-rich dust (PAHs), while the long wavelength part shows narrow solid state features from crystalline silicates. This demonstrates that the chemical composition of both s...
متن کاملCentral Stars of Planetary Nebulae in SDSS and IPHAS
Space densities and birthrates of Planetary Nebulae (PNe) are highly uncertain. A large range of formation rates has been derived by different studies, which has led to contradicting ideas for the final evolutionary phases of low and intermediate mass stars. We started a project to deduce a birthrate using a sample of PNe within 2kpc. The central stars will be identified in the PNe fields by th...
